Duties & Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to, the following tasks.

  • Understand and follow all Company Policies and Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge of Ferguson Excavation Procedures
  • Awareness of Ferguson Electrical Safety Procedures
  • Understanding and ability to perform universal excavator hand signals
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential job hazards
  • Effectively communicate with Operator in order to guide and maneuver heavy equipment on job site
  • Perform any combination of manual tasks associated with pipeline construction
  • Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel
  • Lift, carry, and hold tools and supplies
  • Clean tools and equipment, materials, and work areas
  • Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks such as loading and unloading trucks
  • Transfer from task to task as the project progresses to completion
  • Work within standards of accuracy
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
  • Evaluate information using measurable standards
  • Responsible for turning in time properly

Ongoing Position Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Completion of Equipment Operator Orientation

Position Requirements (Daily)

  • Attend tailgate Safety meeting
  • Report any accidents or injuries
  • Sign in/out sheet
  • Service and maintain equipment
  • Pre-task review of hazards through Job Safety Analysis

Position Requirements (Weekly)

  • Attend Operators Safety Meeting
